Enterprise IT wisdom meets
AI-era building

25 years in healthcare IT taught me what breaks at scale.
Now I'm learning to build what lasts—with AI as my co-pilot.

What I Know From Experience

For 25 years, I've been the person called when enterprise IT needs to actually work — post-merger integrations that can't fail, compliance frameworks that survive audits, legacy modernisation without burning down the house.

I've done this across medical devices, pharma, and care delivery. The unsexy work that breaks at 3am.

I'm not a software developer. I'm the one who makes sure the system holds together—technically, operationally, and regulatorily.

What I'm Building Now

I'm the Technical Co-Founder at Scita Health, where we're building a precision prevention platform for women navigating menopause—a phase when chronic disease risk rises but interventions still work.

My role: Founding Architect. I designed the technical infrastructure using modern composable tools—Xano, Pinecone, N8N, GPT, Claude—wrapped in compliance frameworks I've implemented at enterprise scale.

Here's what's different about how I work now: I build with AI. Not as a traditional developer, but as someone who knows what "production-grade" means and uses AI to implement beyond my usual technical reach.

Every decision has to be explainable, governable, and auditable—because I can't hide complexity in code I wrote myself. That constraint became the design principle.

Field Notes

I'm documenting what I'm learning—decisions made, tradeoffs weighed, mistakes caught. This is raw material, not polished thought leadership.

Working Together

Most of my time goes to Scita. Occasionally, I take on advisory work with health and life sciences ventures facing challenges I've solved before:

  • Post-merger tech integration

  • AI readiness in regulated environments

  • Compliance architecture (GDPR, MDR, ISO)

  • Interim technical leadership during transitions

If you're building something in healthcare and want a thinking partner who's currently in the trenches — not someone who left operations years ago — let's talk.

FlexIT is where I think out loud about building enterprise-grade systems in the AI era. It's part professional practice, part public learning. If that's useful to you, welcome.
